Maybe you’ve read the most recent publication by Lady Needledown. She's the anonymous author of the local gossip-filled newsletter publication. Somehow, she always seems to know everyone's business, especially ours. We suspect she's a local quilter and someone who spends a lot of time here at the shop. She’s spilling tea yet again and sharing all of our shop secrets!
I will confess, what she's reported is true… Cotton Hearts Quilt Shop has a new subscription called Rock the Block! This year our Rock the Block series is a mystery quilt, but we’ve taken some of the mystery out by allowing quilters to select their own fabric collections - with several fabric kits to choose from. Since the cat's already out of the bag, I'll fill you in on some of the details, but not all of them. Afterall... this is a mystery quilt. Lady Needledown needs to mind her own bobbin before she shares too much. This is What’s Sewing On here at Cotton Hearts Quilt Shop:
1.) Register for the class time that works best for you, attend, and select your Fabric Collection Subscription.
2.) Cut and sew your very first Secret Sampler block! Receive guidance from quilt teachers, sit, and sew along with them!
3.) At the end of each class, receive your next Secret Sewciety Quilt fabric packet and cutting instructions for the following month.
4.) Receive monthly Lady Needledown Sewciety Periodicals and Hints.
5.) When you arrive to each class you receive your next Secret Pattern!
5.) Continue with your Block of the Month Secret Sampler Quilt for 12 months.
6.) Learn new skills and techniques along the way and try new shop tools!
7.) Swap class days on the calendar that work for your schedule that month, followed up by free sit & sew days. (dates coming soon)
8.) Add unique Bonus Blocks if you desire a larger quilt.
9.) Assemble the blocks and finish the quilt at 70" x 90".
10.) Hang out with old friends and make new friends along the way!
11.) Enjoy a spot of tea!
12.) Gather with all the participants for a catered Show & Tell, sharing all the quilts made using the exact same Secret Quilt Pattern, but different fabrics!

New in the Shop!
We have new fabrics and new kits in the shop! New patterns and notions too! Here are just a few of our newest collections. "Christmas Mouse" flannel will melt your heart! It has the sweetest little mice ice skating, decorating a Christmas tree, and building a snowman. The "Awe of Autumn" has a delicious fall selection of green, orange, teal, cream, and plum that make you want to pet it, and take it home. I found this pattern that would work well with our 5" charm packs in this collection, and make for a fast fall throw quilt, or even a tablecloth. "Shimmer" by Dear Stella is just darling. With friendship bracelets, cowgirl boots, guitars, cherries, and butterflies. What I love about Dear Stella, in addition to their super cute fabric, they give free patterns to go with their collections! Here's a great pattern called, "Karma" using this adorable collection.
