CLASS CALENDAR!
Hello!
I just can't believe that it's August already! What!? I don't even know where July went, but I'm all for holding on to this last month of summer. As of August 15th we'll be celebrating our fourth month of the shop being open. I can't believe it! Some days it feels like we've been here forever, and other days it feels like our soft opening was just a week ago.
Since that time we've made a few changes around here. We finally have our new ramp to the classroom door! Yay! The rain finally held off long enough for it to be done. Next up, the handrail. Then it's on to painting the big brown wall next to our parking lot, and finally, a new parking lot! That's not all that's happening around here! We've been making some changes inside too. If you've been by you may have noticed that our Gammill longarm is in the classroom now. That was just Phase I of our plan. There are other changes happening behind closed doors every Saturday at 2:00, the second after we close!
We're getting ready for our ribbon cutting and official Grand Opening! The celebration begins on our five month anniversary - Thursday, September 12th and goes through September 14th. We are planning so many fun things, and you're definitely going to want to mark your calendars! We're so excited we can't sleep at night! Watch for details in the next newsletter.
Also, keep an eye on our website for the upcoming details. Yep, our website. I know our website appears to have nothing happening, but behind the scenes we've been working hard to launch. It's been a long time coming and it's not quite here... yet. BUT our classes are finally online! FINALLY! If you check out our calendar at www.cottonheartsquiltshop.com you'll see all of our classes and events are listed through September. I hope you'll check the classes out and come join us!
On a different note, for everyone who's been asking, I'm doing much better since my surgery. I'm feeling better everyday and just about back to normal! I've learned my lesson and I'm staying off ladders during our current remodling project!
I hope your Cotton Hearts are full and enjoying summer, bar-b-cues, swimming pools, and family time. If you haven't been sewing for awhile, summer is like that. Come in to see us and get inspired, and get back to it! September is coming, which is National Sewing Month. We have a 3-Day Sewing Retreat, a Jelly Roll Race, and sew much more.
