| Instructor: | Maggie Vroom |
| Instructor Bio: | Maggie recently left her career as a senior technician working on over-head cranes, reaching 250' high, in factories and refineries - to join us here at Cotton Hearts Quilt Shop. She can troubleshoot and repair anything mechanical and is known to dive into broken sewing machines, bobbin winders, or even longarm machines and have them diagnosed and working again in no time. She's left her work boots and uniforms behind, and you'll often see her in the shop in a skirt with her nails done, just because she can now! She keeps us organized and on track here at Cotton Hearts during the day, creates gorgeous quilts, jelly roll rugs, and cross-stitches whenever she possibly can! Her cotton heart couldn't resist the creativity here, and we're all overjoyed that she's joined the crew! This girl has more cutting accuracy than an Accuquilt, and is willing to take on any sewing challenge. Like her older sister, Molly, she has been sewing since she was a little girl, and made her first quilt at the age of 9. She won first place in the Lake County Fair, junior division! She loves planning quilts and has an excellent eye for color. She's the math wizard of the shop and is called upon whenever someone needs help with a pattern revision. She adores floral fabrics and is in the process of trying to decorate every square inch of her new house with quilts, creativity, and jelly roll rugs! |
