Rock the Block: Secret Sewciety Friday

This is a Mystery Block of the Month Sewing Class. We'll meet on the 2nd Friday of each month, from 11:30 p.m - 3:30 p.m. (Saturday classes available here) This class will present challenges and build on what you know, making a variety of blocks using different techniques. You'll make a Secret Sampler quilt, with the help of a teacher each month. With additional free sit & sew days available! (schedule coming soon) Class is $10, and does not include the monthly fabric subscription kit of $25.00.

Secret Sew Along Sampler:

Maybe you’ve seen the most recent publication by Lady Needledown. She's the anonymous author of the local gossip-filled newsletter publication. Somehow, she always seems to know everyone's business, especially ours. We suspect she's a local quilter, and someone who spends a lot of time here at the shop. She’s spilling tea again and sharing secrets! I'll confess, it’s all true… Cotton Hearts Quilt Shop has a new subscription called Rock the Block! This year our Rock the Block series is a mystery quilt, but we’ve taken some of the mystery out by allowing quilters to select their own fabric collection. This is What’s Sewing On here at Cotton Hearts:

1.) Select your Fabric Collection Subscription on your first day of class - September 11th. Brand new collections are arriving weekly.

2.) Cut and sew your very first Secret Sampler block DURING CLASS! Receive guidance from quilt teachers, sit, and sew along with them!

3.) At the end of each class, receive your next Secret Sewciety Quilt fabric packet and cutting instructions for the following month.

4.) When you arrive to each class you receive your new secret pattern, and the next Secret Fabric Kit and Cutting Directions.

5.) Receive monthly Lady Needledown Sewciety Periodicals and Hints. (Check out her column at www.cottonheartsquiltshop.com – go to the Secret Quilt Sewciety tab)

5.) Continue with your Block of the Month Secret Sampler Quilt for 12 months. Once selected, your kit is already cut and reserved specifically for YOU!

6.) Learn new skills and techniques along the way and try new shop tools!

7.) Swap class days on the calendar that work for your schedule that month, followed up by free sit & sew days. (free days coming soon!)

8.) Add unique Bonus Blocks if you desire a larger quilt. (request must be made when signing up)

9.) Assemble the blocks and finish the quilt at 70" x 90", with guidance.

10.) Hang out with old friends and make new friends along the way!

11.) Enjoy a spot of tea!

12.) Gather with all the participants for a catered Show & Tell, sharing all the quilts made using the exact same Secret Quilt Pattern, but different fabrics!

Attendance is not required. 
Tuesday Evening Classes: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
