Featherweight Sewciety Saturday

Cute. Petite. Lightweight. Classy. Black, white, or colorful. The Energizer Bunny of sewing machines… The Fabulous Featherweights! Join us as we gather each month to celebrate this marvel of American History. Bring your vintage Singer, Kenmore, Bel-air, whatever little lovely you have! 

This is an open sew day on the 4th Saturday of each month from 10:30 - 1:30 p.m. You can join us to sew for $5 each month. You're welcome to sit and sew whatever project you'd like with your little gem of a machine, or we hope you'll join us for our new Sew Along quilt project!

ROCK THE BLOCK

Yes, our new Featherweight Sewciety is a Sew-Along Mystery Quilt! However, we've taken out some of the mystery. You select which fabric you want to work with. You decide fabric placement along the way! 

1. Come to the July 26th Featherweight Sewciety at 10:30 a.m. for a Sit & Sew!
2. Learn about our ROCK THE BLOCK SECRET SAMPLER, and join the fun!
3. Pick from several curated colorways. 
5. Receive your fabric pre-cuts, and Rock The Block cutting instructions.
6. Take your August Kit bag home, treat and cut your fabric to prepare for the August Featherweight Sewciety meeting!
7. Return on August 11th, ready to sew your first block! (Or maybe 2, I'd tell you, but it's a secret!) 
8. Sew Along with guidance, tips and tricks, trying new techniques, and learn new skills. You'll get to try new tools, and meet Guest teachers along the way!
9. Build a beautiful 64 x 76 sampler quilt, month by month.
10. Meet new like-minded, quilty, friends, and get to know one another! Laugh and have fun sharing your hobby!

Attendance is not required. If you want to make a larger quilt, extra blocks and patterns are available!
